A Grand Cru-style wine, 100% Grenache. Exceptional on all accounts, it comes from a 850 metre-high vine located above Scala Dei. It is one of the rare spots where there is no llicorella (the local slate, but a limestone-based rocky soil.
And this is also one of the Priorat's greatest wines.
Vinification
Biodynamic and non-interventionist.
The bunches are not de-stemmed and vinified whole. Then they are left to macerate slowly, without adding any enzymes or yeasts. No pumping over and no treading during fermentation.
This is the only way to obtain such a refined Priorat wine.

Very nice red fruit on the nose, mingled with Mediterranean spices. Powerful attack on the palate, it then becomes then smoother, with superb tannins and perfect acidity. A very refined finish. What a wine!
