Cullerot (tadpole, in the Valencian dialect) is a nickname for Valencian people - hence the image on the label. For some years now, Celler del Roure has tried to save the old local varietals. They are still using the "old winemaking system", in the big earthenware amphoras (tinajas) they have kept on this ancient estate. 2010 was the first vintage of this cuvée. Production is around 24,000 bottles.

P.X. is the abbreviation for Pedro Ximenez = Pieter Siemens; vines left by him in the 15th century in Andalucia were named after him. The Don PX is an example of how far one can go in residual sugar content with this grape.

Convent and Ginés de Liaban are the names of the two toplines at Toro Albalá. As high-quality as the best Boal Madeiras! Ginés de Liaban was a former soldier who died in the vineyards whose body was found on the estate.

PX for Pedro Ximénez, Spanish for Pieter Siemens, who is said to have brought this grape from the Rhine valley to Andalusia in the 15th century, The Don PX is the perfect example of the sweetness of this grape. The Marqués de Poley series comes from another bodega bought by Toro Albalá. No blending. Owing to their exceptional quality, the wines from the old casks are all bottled separately.

Dos Claveles is a reference to the gardens of Cordoba, full of flowers, and in particular carnations (claveles). This 100% Pedro Ximénez is the entry level wine of Toro Albala.
Exceptional in every sense of the word. No other estate makes this type of wine: a dry late harvest Pedro Ximenez with only 12,5° alcohol.
This is a unique wine, a real discovery, the fruit of the experiments of a family estate that never ceases to surprise us. It is made from Pedro Ximénez grapes.

All Ximénez-Spínola brandies are distilled from their Pedro-Ximénez wines, which makes them so special. In fact, most brandies from Jerez are either from Airén wines or Palomino wines. In addition, the élevage at Ximénez-Spínola is truly unprecedented. All this gives the brandies a unique style, particularly complex but at the same time very accessible. Pur plaisir.

All the white grapes of Priorat seem to be present in this blend, even if Grenache Blanc and Macabeu are the most prominent. The others come from a small vineyard nearby. This is one of the owner's favorite wines, and it has already been awarded the tile of "Best Spanish White".

This exceptional sherry-blend contains a 1918 Solera PX and a 1964 PX Oloroso!
This Solera was started in 1918. Four generations of the same family have worked to arrive at this particularly complex Pedro Ximénez. A true legacy for the next generation that is proudly carried on.
Macabeu (34%), Garnatxa blanca (33%), Pedro Ximénez (33%)
Limestone or gypse, in catalan. Which looks more like the soils of Jerez than any other part of the Priorat denomination. This top cuvée of estate is a blend of Macabeu, PX (back to Jerez!) and grenache blanc.
Delicious sweetness from the south of Spain: Córdoba, Spain's hottest city, where fantastic sweet Pedro Ximénez is blended with an Oloroso. This sublime sweet Cream sherry is the result.
Produced exclusively with Pedro Ximénez grapes. Elegant, with an intense old wood aroma and other noble aromas, well-balanced, aged in a 15 years long oxidative Criadera and Solera system. Unlike the Sherry-wines the wines of Montilla-Moriles are never fortified with extra alcohol.

Pedro Ximénez (90%), Moscatel de Alejandria (10%)
This is the white "village wine" of Terroir al Limit. It is mainly composed of Pedro Ximénez, both spicy and Mediterranean, and a little Muscat d'Alexandrie. Refinement and minerality at its best!

The Special Chef quality is a special selection.
Voladeros is the first Mountain Wine produced in Málaga since the 19th century, when this type of wine from PX grapes made in the hills surrounding the city of Málaga were amongst the most sought-after in Europe. With a lot of patience, Victoria looked for the old parcels where the PX still grows so as to save them. And not only did she make it, but she also made a great wine with them.
