What a wonderful nose of blackberries, limestone, minerals and dried violets. Full body and very fine tannins that are sophisticated and tailored, with a really fine texture and liveliness. The length is fantastic and refined. Try after 2026, but impressive to taste already.

Another extremely successful vintage for Château Rocheyron, combining powerful blackberry, raspberry and cassis fruits, with bitter-edged black chocolate and perfectlyjudged tannins that scrape through the finish like pure slate. This dives deep down in terms of its flavours and reach, and answers the expectations for a St Emilion with breadth and impact, but doesn't overpower, and backpedals on the finish to end with lightness and grace. I love it, really exceptional stuff from winemaker Peter Sisseck, with clear ageing potential showcasing the potential of limestone. 40% new oak.
R. Parker (94/100)
The 2019 Rocheyron is sensual and expressive, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, pencil shavings, potpourri and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with tangy acids, powdery tannins and a supple, seamless profile, it concludes with a mouthwateringly saline finish. This collaboration between Peter Sisseck and Silvio Denz has turned out brilliantly.
