Las Iruelas is one of Daniel Landi's "grands crus". It is located in the village of El Tiemblo, in the Province of Avila.
In contrast with the other crus where the soil is made of granite, the vines of Las Iruelas grow on slate, facing East, at some 1000 m above sea-level. An outstanding wine.
Vinification
Everything is done according to Daniel Landi's recipe: biodynamics, non-interventionism; the grapes are non des-stemmed, they macerate and ferment whole with indigenous yeasts. As little SO2 as possible is added.
All this, so as to obtain a pure and elegant wine.
The ageing takes place in big vats and old French oak barrels.

Trial analysis
Pale ruby colour with clear reflections, almost transparent.
Red fruit, berries and garrigue spices on the nose. Both elegant and powerful on the palate, juicy tannins, a nice structure. A great Grenache, indeed.
