What a lovely project! In collaboration with the cooperative of the small village of Calsado de los Vidrios, the "Grenache warriors" of Comando G have revived old Grenache vines and make wine in the old tradition of the area - the clarete (between red and rosé). This is an easy-to-drink wine, which can be drunk chilled.
Vinification
Traditional winemaking, like in the olden days: whole-bunch fermentation, short maceration. Biodynamic viticulture, as prescribed in the specifications of Comando G.
Storage potential
Drink as from: 2023
Best moment: 2023-2024
Drink until: 2026
To serve
Can be served chilled like a rosé.
Trial analysis
Light red colour with rosy reflections. An explosion of red fruit on the nose (fruits of the wood, sour cherries). Fresh and solid on the palate, full of character. The finish is rather short.
Don't expect a complex an powerful wine, but a fresh drink for the summer, without pretense.
