History José Pariente
In 2000, two friends, Marivi Pariente et Viki Benavides, founded a wine estate in the Rueda region, under the name of 'Dos Victorias'. In the beginning, they made theirs wines in another bodega, for want of means. Progressively, the project ripened and they could build their own cellar in San Roman de Hornija, not in the the Rueda area, but in Toro. This way, they could make their red wine under the DO Toro. But not their Rueda white, because the Spanish law says that one cannot make two DO under the same roof. So the two friends decided to part. Marivi built her own bodega in Rueda, under the name of José Pariente (Marivi's father) while Viki kept the San Roman cellar which she baptized Elias Mora. Marivi's Verdejo has won innumerable awards in wine competitions, and her estate is now a source of inspiration for many.
