80 year old Xarel·lo vines produce Enric's flagship wine, Nun Vinya dels Taus, and from 2022 it might just be the very best white wine in Catalunya. Ripe orchard fruits, apricot, flint, sesame toast and hazelnuts, with such persistence and energy. Broad, mouth-coating and in perfect balance, this is truly a great wine. Endless flavour. I am smitten.

The 2022 Nun Vinya Dels Taus was cropped from a warm and dry year with some heat waves during the summer, and the wine has muscle and a little more power but balanced with great freshness and acidity. It's very expressive, varietal and clean with very good oak that is noticeable but not intrusive. It's a neat and elegant wine, nicely crafted. The vines, planted in 1945, are farmed organically and biodynamically, but the bottle wears no certification. The wine has 13% alcohol, keeping a pH of 3.0 and 6.9 grams of acidity. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in 300-liter French oak barrels, 35% of them new, where the wine matured for eight to 10 months. 2,454 bottles produced.
