Terroir Puro Rofe
Rofe is the local name for the black lava soil found almost everywhere on the vineyards of Lanzarote. To cultivate the vines, they are very often planted in small caters of 'hoyos', surrounded by low stone walls These craters are generally dug out in volcanic clay. But in the region of Tilama, close to the Ocean, there are also sandy soils with limestone and clay. But here also, the upper layer is 20 cm of 'rofe'.
