Rodri Méndez is one of the best producers of Albariño wines in Galicia.
Leirana is his entry level wine, but also the perfect illustration of his style: non frills, crisp, and sharp.
Rodri mainly works with older vines, and those are put into good use, in this wine as well as in his top range (the Goliardo line).

Straw colour. Lots of pear, apple and exotic fruit aromas, with a hint of fennel and a lot of minerality.
Smooth on the palate, a nice acidity in the finish.
