Plaer means pleasure in Catalan.
It is the latest development at Albert Jané's little project in Priorat. This wine expresses perfectly the house style: it is seductive, but solid, with elegant and velvety tannins, and a powerful finish.
It is made with the grapes of old, organic vines.
This project shares the same philosophy as in Acústic Celler, Albert Jané's famous estate in Montsant.
Vinification
Harvested by hand in small baskets.
Small yields (15 to 25 hl/ha). The vines are between 40 and 60 years-old. They are located in various places in Priorat, between 300 and 650 m above sea-level.
This wine is aged for some 12 months in (second-wine) French oak barrels.

To serve
We advise to decant this wine before serving in a large glass, around 16°C.
Trial analysis
Dark colour, almost opaque. On the nose, a pot-pourri of red and black fruit (blackcurrant, Basel cherry...) The wood is very well integrated, bringing some cocoa notes. Cinnamon and mint also come out on the palate. Solid but velvety tannins, a strong structure, a long but fresh finish.
