We are the exclusive importer in Belgium of all the wine estates featured on this website.
Red grape with a naturally low yield, it produces quality wines.
When they are young, the wines made with Graciano are harsh and tannic, but they develop very well as they age - be it in the bottle or in oak barrels. It is used a lot for the Gran Reserva wines in Rioja or Navarra.
Graciano (100%)
75 cl.
2021
A micro-vinification from selected grapes, berry by berry, in the best parcels of old vines. Only one to two barrels are produced each year, so only 36 (thirty-six!) bottles are available for Belgium. One of the only wines made with 100% Graciano.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Graciano, Syrah, Tempranillo
This "Friends' wine" is the flagship of this family bodega, located in Corral de Almaguer. It coiuld be sold under the La Mancha denomination, but owner Juan de la Barreda prefers to use the Tierra de Castilla label. The wine is a blend of old Tempranillo grapes (here they call it Cencibel), from three different terroirs: La Desehilla, Monte Alto and El Convento, with some shiraz and cabernet from younger vines.
Tempranillo (88%), Graciano (12%)
2019
This wine is in a league of its own. It comes from the best vines, and only the grapes where polymerization has started are selected. Tempranillo has a lot of different clones and Roda only wants to use the best. Cirsión means thistle in latin and there is one on the label.
Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (15%)
2022
The house's "Grand Cru". This cuvée comes from a 0.95 ha parcel located 540 metres above sea level in Abalos, in the Rioja Alta. Only 1,180 bottles of this very Burgundian Rioja are made.
Tempranillo (80%), Graciano (20%)
This cuvée is a tribute to the two brothers' paternal grandfather who bought the Peñaescalera vine in Baños de Ebro. A vine with a veru low yield, located at the high end of the village, so for a while no one harvested it anymore. And as the soil was very stony, no one would have been "loco" (crazy) enough to buy it in the 50's. But the loco grandfather did it, and its 2.8 hectares now called Finca de los Locos, produced a magnificent wine. And we are all crazy about it!
Tempranillo (88%), Graciano (9%), Cariñena (3%)

Here is an entry level Reserva with a great personality. It comes from other vineyards than the Remirez Reserva.
150 cl. (Magnum)
Tempranillo (80%), Graciano (12%), Garnacha (5%), Palomino (3%)
Located in the small village of Baños de Ebro, 520 m above sea level, on sandy soils, La Condenada is one of the most spectacular vine in the whole Rioja region. This vine dating from the 1920's is mainly planted with Tempranillo, but it has other - local -companions. It owes its name ("condemned") to the fact that it was nearly abandoned before the Artuke brothers saved it. Two years of effort were needed to get it back into shape, and the first crop came in the 3rd. And what a crop! No doubt this is Rioja at its best.
Tempranillo (95%), Graciano (2%), Garnacha Blanca (1%), Palomino (1%), Viura (1%)
2018
This unique project was born on the occasion of La Buena Vida's 25th anniversary, in collaboration with Abel and Maite. The grapes come from some 2 hectares in San Vincente de la Sonsierra, mainly Tempranillo with some white grapes and Graciano round the corners. All these vines were planted between 1967 and 1969, except a little part of the Tempranillo (in 1978). The parcel lies between 540 and 560 metres above sea-level, very close to the famous Bardallo cru. the soils are clay and limestone, with some silty-loamish areas. The parcel's name comes from the 116 tenth-century tombs scattered around the vineyard. This is one of Abel's best and most beautiful vineyards, so exactly what we needed to produce a wine worthy of our 25th anniversary!
Tempranillo (90%), Graciano (10%)
The Pies Negros cuvée is the "village wine" of the Artuke Brothers. The 6 vineyards it comes from are located in Abalos. They are all bush-vines, planted between 530 et 600 metres of altitude. Part of the grapes are still foot-trodden in the old fashion - hence the name of pies negros, black feet. The total production of this cuvée is 10.500 bottles.
2015
One of the rarest wines of this great estate. This Gran Reserva is so in demand (for the 2004 was marked 100/100) that it has always been difficult to acquire. But we were able to secure a small allocation. A Gran Reserva worthy of its name.
Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%), Viura (5%)

Sela, the latest wine at Roda's, is made from 15 to 30 year-old vines. Its name comes from a Scandinavian river where owner Mario Rotllan goes regularly so as to revitalise himself and fish in a magnificent landscape.
Tempranillo (95%), Garnacha (3%), Graciano (2%)
In 2015, the estate planted 4,5 ha of Graciano. The aim was to make a wine with a moderate level of alcohol and a good acidity. Graciano comes from the North of Spain, where it is often blended with Tempranillo to which its brings its acidity. In a hot region like Toledo, it keeps its freshness while reaching an excellent ripeness.
Tempranillo (94%), Graciano (4%), Malvasia, Viura
Trasnocho means "wine of one night". A real fruit bomb!
Ulterior is a project that saw the light in 2007. Planting was done in el Romeral, in the center of La Mancha (Tomelloso). At the base was Elias López-Montero, according to Decanter one of Spain's most promising oenologists. With great respect for his terroir and his history, Elias manages to make beautiful wines that underscore the authenticity of his region. This Graciano is yet another highly original example.
